About
After working 8 years in the medical profession, I thought I had seen it all. But nothing would prepare me for the job I started May 22, 2004: stay at home mom. I quickly understood why many call this the “hardest job in America.” For the first time in my life I was embarking on a career that I was ill prepared for. There was no orientation, handbook or training class.
This is the story of my motherhood journey with my 2 boys, Morris and Bronson. I grew up in Atlanta, GA ( I still have a slight Southern twang to prove it) but have lived in LA for the past 12 years (LA-Los Angeles, not LA-Louisiana, although I have left my mark in Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and Metairie). I try to see the good in everyone (until you show me otherwise).
I’m not a writer. Taking AP Creative Writing in high school is the extent of my training. I’m just a mom trying to figure this all out. As a self professed guy’s girl (I loooove SEC football, especially when LSU is winning), I’m so honored to be a part of the mom sorority now. Please help me to honor the incessant hard work and love all moms put into their children. We are smart, stylish, and strong-that’s what being a Hot Mama is all about!
In 2008 we had a Hot Mama calendar featuring 11 amazing moms from different backgrounds but all with the same goal, to raise their kids the best they can. Most of featured moms were photographed with their kids by amazing photographer, Renee Jacobs.
Take a peek at the calendar here:
