It’s never too early to introduce thoughts about higher education to children. When Mo’s school participated in A Day In Troy at USC we were all in! It was a great program. A Day in Troy is a community service event put on by the USC Athletic Department. Fans have the opportunity to spend an afternoon with USC student-athletes touring the campus prior to taking part in the S.C.O.R.E program with Radio Disney. Fans end the day by watching the Women’s basketball team take on the UCLA Bruins.
Although USC is located in the heart of downtown Los Angeles, it feels worlds away from the city once you’re on the grounds. I loved that USC is a walking campus. No cars or buses to watch out for, lots of socializing while walking and riding bikes. It’s very peaceful. USC is adorned with palm trees, over 35 fountains, and beautifully crafted brick buildings. It basically looks like an upscale resort.
Mo was really into the tour since student-athletes were our tour guides. They talked about college life and athletics. Mo is pretty much sold on college. As a huge SEC fan and alumni it was a different feeling being on a PAC12 campus, but as a mom I’ll be happy wherever my kids decide to attend college in the future.
