The parents of Dylan Moses must be elated. Their son an 8th grader from Baton Rouge, La has already been offered EIGHT!!!
The 6’1″, 215-pound 8th grader is being recruited by some of the top football programs in the nation.
It all started as a standout at an LSU football camp. The young RB/LB ran a 4.46 40 yard dash. LSU coaches were stunned. Les Miles didn’t hesitate to extend his interest in Dylan.
After LSU offered him a scholarship, ole Nicky Saban came poking his nose around. Bama threw in an offer along with Texas, Florida, Florida State, Nebraska, UCLA and Ole Miss.
Not too shabby for kid who hasn’t even played a single down of high school football.
Dylan says right now his favorite schools are LSU, Alabama, and Georgia. (Mark Richt better get on it!)
After watching the ESPN video I must say I was extremely impressed, not with just his athleticism but moreso his humble, down to earth candor. Dylan’s positive attitude and work ethic make him a winner in my eyes. His father seems extremely supportive and proud. This combined with his raw talent could take him far.
Hopefully being in the athletic spotlight at such a young age will be easier considering his determination and ancillary support system. Staying focused will be key. He has 4 years to make his college decision. I agree with his father to keep the attention on high school.
No doubt the nation will continue to watch this impressive young man as he navigates towards his college career
**UPDATE** 9/23/13 Dylan Moses, now a high school freshman has given a verbal commitment to attend LSU in 2017**
