Spring Break At The Fairmont Kea Lani

IMG_4908I’ve never taken the boys away for a Spring Break trip.

So, for our first rendezvous it was a unanimous vote to head to the beautiful beaches of Maui. (Thanks to a Scooby Doo Wiki Tiki episode Bronson was all in!)

I couldn’t wait to get to the Fairmont Kea Lani for the festivities.

Having been there before I knew I’d love it.

This time I’d be traveling with my boys. Here’s why it’s also the perfect choice for families with children:

Kids 5 and under eat FREE!!!

FREE shuttle to/from Wailea locations.

Maui’s only all suite and villa luxury oceanfront resort.

Keiki Lani kids camp.

The Kea Lani is all about simple elegance.

When I go to Hawaii, I wanna feel like I’m on an island and not smack dab in the middle of a major metropolis. Fairmont does an amazing job of blending luxury and comfort while maintaing the integrity and culture of the island.

The lush grounds of the 22 acre property highlight the natural beauty of Maui. The resort is all white with khaki brown accents. Having been to other Hawaiian resorts, I appreciated the simplicity of the Kea Lani. In lieu of over branding and tacky signage everywhere you see beautiful Hawaiian landscaping. The property is adorned by tall palm trees, Koi pond, waterfalls, and the ocean.

Even though you’re at a high end resort Kea Lani does an amazing job capturing the natural beauty of the island.

Because I’m all about food, I was impressed to see various nutritious meals on the menu to accommodate various dietary needs: Dash/Heart Healthy, Sugar Balanced, Vegan, Macrobiotic, Gluten Free, and Raw.

Of course I ignored all of those and went straight for the  Maui onion rings and pineapple upside down cake every time, but hey…nice to know there’s options.

Here’s our highlights of our Kea Lani getaway:

Bronson- Going to kids camp and making new friends, the ocean waves.

Mo- Snorkeling lessons, the waterslide, and mochi shaved ice for dessert.

Me- The amazing service. The staff is friendly without being flirty, attentive without being annoying, and pleasant without being pretentious.

I loved sharing the island experience with the boys and can’t wait to go back.

Upon arrival, you’re greeted with a welcome lei and island juice.

The boys made great use of the complimentary sand bucket, shovel, and gekko necklace.

Love how they bring the outdoors inside.
