Twins Born on NY Highways

When you gotta go, you gotta go.

This goes for childbirth too.

Long Island couple, Siobhan Anderson and her husband were headed to the hospital when she felt a huge contraction and the baby’s head. They had to pull over and wait for an ambulance to arrive.

They were helping her out of the car and onto the stretcher. That’s when Gavin John was born on Southern State Parkway.

Gavin was 6 pounds, 12 ounces.

Less than 10 minutes later on their way to the hospital, paramedics were forced to pull over as Anderson went into labor again. This time she gave birth to her second son, Declan Michael, on the Wantagh State Parkway.

Declan weighed in at 5 pounds, 15 ounces.

The twins and mommy are doing just fine.

Congrats to the whole family.
