LSU Football Team To Get Female Kicker?

You already know I love LSU!

Back in March, Mo Isom tried out for the LSU football team but didnt make it.

Apparently she’s GEAUXING for another GEAUX!

Yesterday she tweeted:

Exactly 33 days until my final tryout for the LSU Football team. I would appreciate yalls continued prayers for health, preparation & favor!

Here’s my blog from March about her.

GEAUX MEAUX!

As if I really need yet ANOTHER reason to LOOOOOVE LSU???

I mean great people, football traditions, tailgating, and being voted by Maxim Magazine as the #1 Sexiest school in America…need I say more?

Well, this one is the icing of the icing on the cake.

LSU’s Homecoming Queen and soccer star, Mo Isom is participating in a 3-day tryout to be a field kicker for the top ranked LSU Tiger Football team.

Don’t question her heart, courage, strength, or talent.

SEC football opponents will pale in comparison to what Mo has been through.

She battled an eating disorder in high school, followed by the suicide of her father, and a near death car accident which she suffered a broken neck and ribs.

The Ga native says playing football would  help her stay connected to her father.

Mo told the Concordia Sentenial:

“I think there’s a big part of my heart that wants to pursue this because I want to hold on to a connection that I shared with my dad for so long.”

LSU football coach Les Miles assured Mo she would be treated like all the guys.

“I would have no reservations playing her,” Miles said. “If she gave us an opportunity and an advantage, and I mean add an advantage, then certainly we would consider that. The good thing about it is she’s an athlete. She’s been through team before. She understands the commitment. I would have much less reservation with her than I would any number of other people that frankly didn’t know what they were getting into. But the real interesting thing is it has to be an advantage obtained.”

By the looks of theis 90 yard goal she kicked in a soccer game, I think LSU fans might be ready to yell GEAUX MEAUX!
