Dad Delivers His Own Baby

You can call San Antonio resident, David Herrera “Big Daddy”.

While waiting in a delivery room at  Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in Westover Hills, David went into action as his wife, Isabella went into labor.

Their doctor was called into an emergency delivery and was nowhere to be found.

David’s wife encouraged him to help deliver their baby.

“So I looked at him and said, ‘David, look at me, you can do this.’”

Being the father of 3 boys, he tried to recall what the doctor did during their deliveries. Within minutes, he was holding his baby girl, Isabel.

I wonder if they got some sort of labor and delivery discount???? IJS.

This isn’t the first time a dad took his child’s delivery into his own hands.

Recently, dad Brent Farrell of Stapleford, U.K. had to knock down the bathroom door that his partner had accidentally locked to deliver their child. Just a few days earlier, Jeremiah Hoylman of Keokuk County, Iowa had to pull over and deliver his baby on the side of a road because his wife’s water had broken and he knew they wouldn’t make it to the hospital.
