I remember when I was a little girl, I used to watch The Price Is Right and idolize the beautiful Barker’s Beauties. My favorite was HOLLY (Hallstrom). She was so funny and somewhat accident prone like myself. Then in 1990, Kathleen Bradley became the 1st permanent African-American model on the show. I was very excited that a tv show idolized by so many young girls now had an ethnic model.
Fast forward to 2010, my friend, Gwendolyn now has that role. I couldn’t be more proud to know someone who is such a compassionate and unselfish mom dedicated to 2 children and 2 step-children.
She is the epitome of a smart, stylish, and strong Hot Mama! I always stress to other moms that it is imperative to have mom friends that help make you better. I admire how candid and honest she is with her children. Gwendolyn never minces her words and always tells it like it is! She is so dedicated to being their advocate and constantly strives to instill solid core values and morals in the kids.
Recently, my dad and I visited her on the CBS lot to see a live taping of The Price Is Right . I was super excited to see Gwendolyn in action. She did not disappoint!!! With her amazing hair, show stopping curves, and winning smile, she charmed the audience with simply a bat of her long eyelashes.
Not to take away from lovely Lanisha, and Rachel. These ladies are more than mere eye candy. Lanisha is an AMAZING photographer. She shot the picture on my website header and many other pictures seen on http://www.ahotmama.com. Her website is a must-see. Rachel. a newleywed, is a true Southern lady. I might be a little bias with my praise for Rachel. She’s from Louisiana and a LSU alumni (GEAUX TIGERS!) and former LSU track star. Gwendolyn, Lanisha, and Rachel are so sweet and charming, I loved co-signing their greatness with all the fans in the audience. In between takes, Drew Carey (the
fabulously witty and charismatic host) gave me and my dad a special shout out. When he announced we were special guests of Gwendolyn, I thought I was gonna need some Security detail outta there. TPIR fans are die-hard and they ♥LOVE♥ the ladies almost more than Plinko.
I truly enjoyed the entire experience. But I have to take my hat off to CBS. The Price Is Right is a pioneer in television game shows. They are in their 39th season and have paved the way and set the standard for so many other shows. The show format has remained simple and very little change has been made. However, the fact that they have such a diverse cast of models is applauded (*Manuela is the 4th model. She is a Columbian beauty and so sweet and funny. She wasn’t working the day I was at the show). Knowing that so many little girls watch this show and look up to the models as their standard of beauty makes me beam with pride. The Price is Right defintiely got it right!

I am so surprised that they have so many models of color. We have really come a long way and I agree that so many young girls watch and look up to these beautiful ladies. I am definitely going to start supporting The Price Is Right. Thank you Nora.

As I was reading this my husband got very interested bc he saw the pictures. Lol. we are both life long Price fans. My husband said Gwen is married to NBA star Kenny Smith. i don’t know who he is, but he is a lucky man. Gwen sounds like a great mom and is very beautiful. And my husband is still drooling
I haven’t watched since Nicki Zeiring was on, but knowing Gwen is a mom i have to tune in and cheer her on. I need to go on that show. I always win at home when the contestants lose. why don’t they listen to me?
